To activate the traineeship, the procedure takes one month from the date of application.

Before starting the traineeship: First of all, you must check your personal curriculum of study for the existence and/or type of traineeship scheduled (number of university credits, CFUs). Once you have done this, you must fill in the application form ('Application for traineeship' available in the teaching/forms and procedures/ section of the website of your three-year or master's degree course) didattica/modulistica e procedure/ and send it by e-mail to the president of the degree course pres-cdl.chimica(AT)unifi.it;

On the traineeship application form, you must indicate your personal information, your contact details, the period of the traineeship, the facility where you would like to carry out the traineeship, the university tutor, the company tutor, and the title of the traineeship to be agreed together with the two tutors.

Once your application has been checked and approved by the Teaching Committee, you will receive an e-mail enabling you to fill in your project on the St@ge database.

1. you have to fill in, save, and print the work project;

2. you must collect the signatures of the company tutor (scientific head of the project) and the university tutor  tutor universitario

3. you will then receive an e-mail from the School of SMFN confirming activation

In the traineeship project, you will have to indicate your data, your contact details, your current status (e.g. "Student enrolled in the third year of the Chemistry degree course in the School of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences"), the details of the company where you will carry out the traineeship and the company tutor. You will also have to indicate the work time, weekly timetable and period agreed with the company tutor. You must then include a brief description of the objectives and methods of the training and the number of corresponding CFUs to be included in accordance with your study plan. 

NOTES

In the st@ge database the chosen company appears and cannot be changed. You can, however, enter the laboratory where the traineeship will take place.

A name appears under “Company Tutor” this name must be deleted, and you must enter the name of the scientific tutor employed by the company.

University tutor: this must necessarily be a university lecturer.  Tutor universitario

The names of the company and university tutor automatically appear in the form to be printed.

Duration of the internship: the duration must be agreed with the host organisation.

At the end of the traineeship (date indicated in the project)

You have to fill in the end of the traineeship questionnaire which you will find in the st@ge database.

The company tutor must complete the end of traineeship report and the end of traineeship questionnaire (st@ge database); he/she must then inform the university tutor.

The university tutor, notified by the student and/or the company tutor, must complete an end-of-training questionnaire and approve the report.

NOTES

It is possible to finish the traineeship before the end by contacting the School's Teaching Office.

If you wish to extend the traineeship, you must contact the School's Teaching Office before the deadline of the closing date.
